2024 Reunion – Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The 2024 Reunion of the 2d Battalion 1st Marines, Inc. will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Hilton City Center hotel commencing on Wednesday September 25th. Our banquet night will be Saturday September 28th and we will depart Milwaukee on Sunday September 29th.

The room rate is $199 per night with discounted parking at $18 a day. The reunion room rate is available to our members for three days prior (September 22nd) and three days after (October 2nd) our Reunion.

3.Reservation will require a credit card to guarantee your reservation.

4.Reservations may be cancelled prior to 48 hours of reservation date without any penalty. 

          Any reservation cancelled within 48 hours of reservation, or a No-Show will result in one 

          nights charge to your credit card.

EVITE:

To determine interest and number of people who want to attend the different activities (Banquet, Harley-Davidson Museum, Ladies Luncheon, and Brewers game) you will receive an EVITE in your email. You can click on the link, and it will take you to the EVITE. Complete the names of those attending the reunion and hit submit button. When you complete the submission there will be a Poll presented to you where you can choose one of several options. This does not commit you to any of the options but will help us determine number of folks for transportation and costs required. It will also help us facilitate the Reunion Button on the website where you can sign-up and pay for your subsidized portion of the activities.

The hotel has a breakfast café available to our members at a reasonable price as well as an in-house Starbuck’s coffee shop for those who may want a lighter breakfast.

The hotel’s Miller Time Pub is available for lunch and dinner at reasonable prices with an extensive menu of incredibly good pub grub. For those wishing for fine dining the hotel’s Chop House restaurant is excellent.

Cab fare from the airport is under $30 with a tip.

Reunion Itinerary:

• Registration commences on Wednesday September 25

• Thursday September 26 – excursion to the Harley Davidson Museum. The cost is $17 per person (discounted      price for veterans) HOG members enter free (bring your HOG proof). 

  There is a café for us to have lunch at the museum. The price includes transportation to and from the museum.

• Thursday evening – Birthday cake will be served in the hospitality room at 1900 hours (7:00 pm).

• Friday September 27 – The Ladies Luncheon at 1130 hours. The rest of the day is a free day for you to explore    Milwaukee. For those interested, an evening trip to the ballpark to see the Brewers play the Mets, includes          ticket, buffet, and transport - $65 per person.

• Saturday September 28 – Annual business meeting from 1000 – 1200 hours. Banquet happy hour will begin at    1700 hours and the banquet room is open for seating at 1730 hours 

  with the banquet agenda beginning at 1800 hours. The banquet cost is $60 per person. Marines from Fox Co.      2/24 will provide a color guard for our banquet.

Milwaukee has a lot to offer including a variety of ethnic restaurants, an extensive river walk, and the Potawatomi casino for those who wish to take a chance. We will have tourist information available when you check in, or a comfortable hospitality room if you just want to catch up with each other.
